Role of the President

The President is an office bearer of the Committee of CHDB Inc. The role of
President is to ensure that the club functions efficiently and within statutory/legislative
guidelines. The President must coordinate the Committee to ensure appropriate policies
and procedures are in place for the effective management of CHDB Inc and that the club
operates within the auspices of DBNSW and AUSDBF.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Chair the Committee meetings
  • Ensure that the Committee functions properly, that there is full participation during
    meetings, that all relevant matters are discussed, and that effective decisions are made
    and carried out.
  • Chair all General meetings of the Club
  • Be the primary spokesperson for the Club
  • Be a signatory on the Club bank accounts
  • Be compliant with the Club’s Constitution
  • Have a casting vote as well as a deliberative vote in the case of an equality of votes on a
    question at a General meeting. (Note: the President does NOT have a deliberative vote in
    the context of a Committee meeting)
  • Assist in any review of the Club’s Risk Assessment Plan
  • Represent the Club at Northern Regional Meetings and at DBNSW meetings
