Purpose

To ensure the safety of members when participating in training and/or competition activities. This policy complements and clarifies the AusDBF Anti-Doping Policy which is available on their website.

Background

Camden Haven Dragon Boats Inc. is committed to ensuring the safety of members at all times.

Responsibilities

The Committee is responsible for ensuring this policy is readily accessible by all members and included in the induction of every new member.

All members are responsible for ensuring they adhere to this policy.

Policy

When participating in Club activities such as training sessions (including on-land training), regattas, competitions, social paddles, come-and-try days or other on-water events,

  1. …members must not arrive at the activity under the influence of prohibited substances (as defined in the AusDBF Anti-Doping Policy), alcohol or illicit drugs
  2. …members must not consume during the activity any prohibited substances (as defined in the AusDBF Anti-Doping Policy), alcohol or illicit drugs
  3. …members found in breach of items 1 or 2 may be subject to a formal complaint as outlined in the Club Constitution
  4. …members found in breach of items 1 or 2 will not be permitted to participate in the training session, social paddle, come-and-try day or other on-water event
